Mission Statement
Rhythm Oasis is an ensemble of northern Arizona musicians who
endeavor to perform traditional middle eastern music with the highest
level of authenticity possible. We hope to satisfy discriminating
audiences who already understand this art form and its idioms, but we
also want to help those unfamiliar with Turko-Arabic music come to
appreciate its subtleties and various forms, as well as the
sophisticated culture from which it came. We feel that the beauty,
passion and joy of middle eastern music and dance should be shared with
everyone.
